Thanks for the commiseration and suggestions for new vendors everyone. I guess this is what happens when I have been out of the loop for too long.
On the good side, the last portfolio I bought from LI lasted 27 years.
Onward through the bubble wrap!
Another LI alternative is Archival Methods. www.archivalmethods.com We would be happy to assist you with your archival storage and presentation needs.

I ordered supplies from Archival Methods about a month ago. When I called, the person I spoke with was very knowledgeable and gracious. My order was packaged properly and sent to me the next day. So, based on my experience, I recommend this company. Just to be clear about this post, I have no connection with Archival Methods other than as a satisfied customer.

If somebody kept badmouthing your business and told everyone else to not buy from your business you would be having troubles too.
The fact that they acknowledged your order and advised you of the situation says something about them being honest and willing to fill your order.
Of course, you always have the option of canceling and getting your money back. But they are never going to be even close to what they were if everybody tells everybody else to stop buying from them.
Sal... maybe he doesn't know that you cancelled your order and they are not promptly refunding your money.
I did read the entire post before responding. I wasn't "blaming" anyone. Rather I was suggesting a possible cause for their troubles. If business is bad then capital is bad. If capital is bad then ability to carry stock is bad. If ability to carry stock is bad business is bad. And on and on into the night!
