I'm interested in the lens choices that fit an 8x10 camera but are too big for most 4x5. I've got 4x5 backs in case I don't need 8x10 film.

It may be wasteful but I had had my reasons to buy a separate lens set for the smaller camera. When I can't carry the weight/bulk of the larger camera with larger lenses and several DDS then I'll carry the 4x5 kit dedicated solely to 6x12cm roll film. The two cameras only share the 300mm and 450mm lenses and I bought compact versions of those which both fit in Copal #1 shutters. I did quite a bit of research before finally settling on my lens choices.

    Absolutely. I love the looks I get when I tell them I have a 9 1/2" Dagor.

I agree w/ Brian ,,, I see no difference with enlarged images but if you contact print both you'll see a difference in size..

    Negative is bigger than positive?

A negative is the same size as a positive.

The 8x10 negative is 4 times larger than a 4x5 negative.

When I said, "It's bigger?", I was just making a joke. I guess it wasn't that funny.
