8X10 Film Holder cases from Apple Store

Those of you looking for an ideal solution to 8X10 film holder protection, check out Apple's cases that are available for the 13" MacBook. There are two or three brands available with slightly different materials and configurations, but they all fit the Toyo 8X10 film holder perfectly. I bought six of the 13" Level 8 World cases, which are made of black ballistic nylon with a front zippered pocket, two cloth handles, and a high-tech cushioned interior. These were priced at $50 ea., but will give ultimate protection and last forever.

Looks like you can only fit a couple holders in each case.

Six holders per case is about right in my mind.

I guess if you can afford 8x10 toyo holders, a pile of $50/cases is chicken change.

I've got laptop sleeves for film holders too. Goodwill had a stack of new ones and I bought them.

...they are thus worthy of first class protection!

I am using a large laptop case for two 11x14 holders -- very fine! (and it was free!) I could probably fit another holder in it, but I put in two closed cell foam pieces instead.

Yes, I do feel the holders and the carefully-exposed negatives deserve the best protection possible. I'm not rich, but photography looms large in my life, and I can justify the $300 expense for this reason.

There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!

I've always used one of these...I can get 15 8x10 holders with a bit of room to spare.
