    Pointed and Shot

I've searched, but I can't find a thread specifically for point and shoots, and there has been a lot of discussion about p&s cameras this year. Maybe some more of you can post your pictures here.

This one from a visit to Mystic Seaport in Connecticut last month. Apparently, wooden cameras are much appreciated by those who restore wooden sailing ships. Jon was cutting an opening in the roof to allow some large component to be craned in. The ship is the Charles W. Morgan.

    Not doing so well here-

I'll put up a few more and see if it catches on-
Then just slink back off to the shadows...

That first one, and this one, on Polaroid 55, by the way- the last of the three is converted to b/w from Provia.

    Re: Pointed and Shot

Thank you all, don't feel so bad about starting this thread now-
Here's the last two from Mystic, both, again, on Provia.
Might be a good chance for someone else to post something...

That last one hand held, hanging off the dock, so it needed some straightening and cropping.
Could have used my iPhone viewfinder for that one...

    Re: Pointed and Shot

    Thanks alex-

Depth of field doesn't quite cover- the four ground is about 400mm away, and isn't quite sharp.
The trees in the middle distance are sharp, the trees in the far distance are noticeably out of focus.

I suppose this is an example of how useful focusing is on a point and shoot, a subject I touched on in the 'Show us your Home Made Camera' thread this morning. This one was focused at about a meter.
