Screen saver creator program that works on most computers?

Am looking at doing local and targeted screen saver programs of images of particular towns, counties and locations. Have tried making screen savers with a couple programs but they do not work on various computers. Will work on one and then not the next.

Any suggestion as to a good creation program I can get that will work on most computers? Basically trying to avoid having to buy a half dozen more and finding after the fact they don't do the job.

The Mac's screen saver will work with any pictures you have in a folder.

It's the same way with Windows, too. I guess I'm not really understanding your point/objective.

I want to make a screen saver with images, burn it to CD to sell. Have people put the CD into their computer and have the screensaver program show the images the way the native program does.

I have tried three different screen saver creating programs now and after they are on the CD some computers will install them, others will not. I am hoping to fine a program to create a screen saver with the images that will play on most, if not all computers.

I made a powerPoint of a light bulb off and lighted (two frames). The screen saver on my PC makes it look as though it is turning on and off.

Surely it should be enough to simply distribute the images. Why reinvent the wheel? If anyone wants to have your images as a screensaver, all they have to do is copy your images to their computer and set their screensaver to read that folder. Provided the images are in a common format, like JPEG, any computer can then use them. But, of course, they can also do whatever else they want with them.

Joanna - how do you make any profit letting people copy images from your computer?

Shooting an event and marketing a commercial screensaver of it involves more than letting them have access to my computer. They buy the screensaver with the images on it when they visit the location that sells it.

Ah, +1 with Frank. Dakota, the problem is that any distributed file can, and will be, copied repeatedly. The screen saver in Windows reads files and displays them. That's all there is to it. The program you want keeps the files "protected" from copying, and displays them as a screen saver. Do a search on "copy protected screen saver" (no quotes) and there are a couple of promising links, with one right at the top.

Remember, all that a person needs to do to get a copy of what is on the screen is hit the "print screen" key and copy the result to Paint, crop it and save it. No complex bypass needed. All your pictures are belong to us, and the rest of the meme. The best that you can do is register what you send out, so that if it gets used on a commercial site then you can whack them for copyright infringement. (but that's still a civil matter, and you have to get them to pay.)

    Why reinvent the wheel?
What's the English idiom(?)..."Why buy the cow, when I can get the milk for free?"

Trying to sell only your images, graphics, or animations, in any kind of a program...well...
your content would need to be very special, and/or so truly-uniquely-mind-blowing, that no other
images, even remotely similar to yours, do not already exist freely, anywhere else on the web!
