Favorite aperture and consistently the one I get the most satisfying images from is the biggest one the lens has. IOW, wide open.

I do have a favorite aperture as I stated earlier, and I have a favorite beer -- but I drink a lot of other beers so that I do not tire of my favorite.

I don't have a favourite apeture... but when I shoot efke IR, I tend to use f/11 a lot because exposures go pretty long beyond that (with opaque filter EI .75).
So, I use whatever apeture I think is necessary when I'm shooting conventional film...

That's a good policy. I have a favorite whiskey, Talisker, which I cannot afford, so there's no danger of my becoming jaded.

Oh, and my favorite aperture would be f:16.

As far as 4x5 goes, probably f32 with my 150mm, 210mm & 300mm lenses although I'll use f22-f64 as required. Probably f22 with my 90mm although I'll use f16-f45 as required.

Now here's a subject worth talking about.

Talisker! How can you drink that? I suppose your love of Tiltalls, those hard, metal, heavy things that pinch your fingers might be a clue... that stuff is harsh!

For me it's all Lagavulin. Such a perfect balance. There is no other....
