    Scanning ULF Transparencies

Is there a resource for scanning ULF? Lets say 20x10 or 20x24?

You can put 11x14 provia on an Eversmart Supreme... 20x10 will fit on the big drum of a primescan or tango xl. 20x24 is much harder to find. There were some huge 20x30 drum scanners back in the day also you might be able to find on of those eskoscans somewhere out there. Another scanner to look at would be the Cezanne and Cezanne elite.

If all else fails you can reduce your best images with an optical copy camera or enlarger and scan the smaller format.

I have used Aztek's "Wide Format Scanner" at full rez. I scanned a very large drawing at about 500 ppi. The quality was amazing, the resulting print was beautiful. It was a drawing, however, and not a negative. I don't know how it would do.... but you could ask them.

They come anywhere from 24 inches wide to 54.

Or, if all else fails, cut the transparency into four pieces that are 5x10 or 12x10.. Obviously, Nobody *WANTS* to chop a beautiful 20x24 slide into pieces, but if you want to get it scanned, this might be the easiest way to do it...

I think it would be better to get someone with an Eversmart or Iqsmart to scan it in two halves and stitch it together in software. It could be a big file though, 32GB USB drives are cheap now, that might be a good way to send it.
