    Simple sites?

I am looking for examples of very simple sites displaying LF photos - no flash in either sense, but elegant.

I'm not sure if it's simple--but in designing my site I have made an effort to keep it easy to navigate through many images

It isn't LF but I always thought http://www.slower.net/ was the best photo display site ever.

    Big pictures everyday... easy navigation

It isn't simple under the hood, it is very elegant programming really.

My favorite site: http://www.chrishoneysett.com/ With the musical background and the muted shades of gray, it is a really soothing site. Simple? Depends on how you define it. To me its simple. But, it might be difficult to create. I'm into photography, not web site development.

    Ed,
"Simple and elegant" where two criteria I kept in mind while designing my site. Financial cost was another. I am currently revising it, including optimizing the images for the web (something I didn't know about originally) and adding a few informational pages. It is happening as the friend who is doing the site has time to make the changes.

Other sites that I like include those of a couple of photographers whom I consider to be giants of contemporary landscape color work:

    www.charlescramer.com
    www.josephholmes.com

    Best of luck.

Hi Nige, great work! Good to hear from you once again. I'll be back down your way come September/October.
