    Paper negatives

I am looking to get into LF by doing paper negatives and then contact print them.

Does anyone have any really good experience with this?
Which paper should I use? I am happy to use someone else's preferred type. I mainly shoot non-living things, so slow speeds should be alright. Are there fast papers though?
Any tips on the needed chemicals?

As far as printing exposing goes, is it possible to use a regular light bulb (I don't have nor want an enlarger)?
What would be a good starting point for trying out exposure times using one?

    Thanks!

I have done this years ago. Use an enlarging paper without printing on the back. Some of the Kodak papers had this. The paper speed is really slow, like about 6. I used a low contrast graded paper. You can dry the paper negative pretty fast with a hair dryer and print! Next best thing to Polaroid. Experiment with different paper surfaces. Some will give a slightly mottled look. Use regular paper developers. A standard light bulb is fine. You need a good contact printer, not a proof printer.
