Craig, that is a great plate. And your efforts to get it make it even more meaningful. Out WWPD is just starting here. Not sure if I will have any portraits today but if I do I hope it would turn out half as nice as this.

Oh very nice!
So you found a Heliar!
it was well worth the wait, especially in your hands.
Look forward to more images.

Another one from same test. Heliar is wide open, and film is Arista EDU 100 (i ran out of ilford suddenly and all the rest of film was either colour or iso 25 and light was fading.. so i winged it on 1/15th..).. Wee tilt here.
8x10, Verito. Lith print. Melyndra, poet.
More info and larger image over at Flickr.
Taken yesterday at a local park. Shot on Polaroid type 55 film that "expired" in 1981. The negative completely solarized and turned into a positive, except for the sky. The colors just scanned in that way so I left them. (Scanned as a positive.)

Realy Neat image Jonathan !!! I like it.
Beautiful portrait Craig!! This ambrotype doesn't have the orange/yellow cast to it. Did you fix it in PMK? Really amazing pics on your web site too!
