I look just like Wendover Will, so it's sort of a duplication of effort

I like the image better without the toning. I actually like it a lot.

And finally its here.. freshly mounted on duct tape on me Technikardan (anyone got flange for Compound 4 tube type 2, one that is 76.7mm they like to sell/exchange for something?)... First live test.

4x5 Ilford, 240mm Heliar in Compound shutter (which is apparently a weeeee bit off, but who cares).

Was result worth it? Hell yes.. Now i just need to work out all quirks of glass (i.e how to deal with its contrast rendition), but so far it looks pretty darn cool.

I'm a compulsive toner. Gotta do it. Glad you like it, anyway.

Jonathan, here's the toning recipe I stole:

"the wild man david morris the early years"

One of the few images with a person as the subject I have done.
This may have been May but since it was made around 1982 I just don't remember for sure.
Dave and myself are slightly more weathered than we were back then, the rocks I suspect have notice the years little.
