Hi,
Just purchased a Widelux 7, and wondering if there's a Really Right Stuff mounting plate for it
Checked last years' RRS catalogue, nothing doing
Wondering if there's anyone with previous experience of a Widelux
Cheers,
Carol

I think you'd be just fine with a generic plate (one without a little flange to stop rotation). When I had a Widelux 7, I never used it vertically anyway.
My book "Lonely Places on Cruise Ships"
I'm not familiar with the Widelux but a plate having a lip and a slot can work with a lot of different cameras. If the long side of the L is long enough a RRS MC-L might even work, giving you the advantages of an L-plate. Alternatively either the Kirk Universal Quick Release Tall L-Bracket or a similar setup built from rails screwed together could give you an L-bracket.
An email or phone call should be able to give you the dimensions so that you could decide if it would work.

I am shooting Widelux and am using my standard Gitzo tripod with quick release, never had an issue...
