I have a RC-1100 that was invaluable back in the day when I as still printing RC papers. Those were $900 back then. Could do 300 8x10's an hour. Just place on the belt, set speed and temperature and away it goes! I could be goaded to let it go if interested.

For doing a lot of RC prints nothing beats the RC 1100 and the bigger 2000 series
Dryers. I have an RC 1100 which now like the other Greg get less use.
I have used a hand held blow drier for larger RC prints. I guess I would weigh wether the quanity warrants the price.

    Re: Arkay RC-500A Print Dryer

Well I bought Gregs RC 1100 dryer and it's already on it way! I can't wait to put it into service. I have a 16x20 Premier two-sided dryer but don't like the little fibers that end up on the print so I've been using a hand dryer for the 8x10's. The RC 1100 is the better and quicker way to go though and I'll use the Premier for the 16x20's and the hand dryer for any 20x24's which I'll probably have to hang somehow to blow dry.

Incidentially, I stopped by a Calumet yesterday to buy an Epson light black ink cartridge while they were still on sale. Being curious and really needing one more 8x10 film holder I asked if they still had any of the Fidelity Elite holders available. They sold me some last year for $68 at their annual no sales tax day. There wasn't any remaining at the local store and Calumet, who once manufactured the holders, had only 2 holders left in the country - both in Chicago and for $82 each. Now they have only one and I now have 5 8x10 holders
