For the record, I'm a moderately handy person, maybe more than that, and I bought some parts from TOYO for a 4x5 G. The parts were really expensive (like, 1/2 the value of the camera at this point) and when I got them, I ended up breaking some screws trying to put them on. Now I have the broken parts, the expensive camera and nothing to show for it.

That's to say, I wouldn't necessarily attempt to repair a metal camera yourself.

I have used a 45AII for 12 years. It is a wonderful camera! Built like a tank, easy to setup and a joy to use! The front standard has two levers that lock it down. Even one lever will lock the front standard down enough to use it until you get the new lever. It is held on with an small allen screw so it should be an easy fix.

    Enjoy!
