    Chamonix 045n2

Someone who got his camera a bit earlier. You can either use google translate, or just look at the pictures.

Note: according to Hugo, the oversea 045n2 version (the ones you guys will get) has the fresnel installed on the user side under a protection glass, where has the domestic 045n2 version (the one in the following link) has a detachable fresnel installed on the lens side.

    Some quick conclusions:
    1) Still no zero detents for front and rear swinging.
    2) The guy claimed the focusing is smoother as advertised.

I like the look of the rear swing now, that looks more intuitive I don't do much rear swing, but if I did this would be a nice little update.

those are supposed to be ball bearing containers, added to improve the smoothness of focusing.

Looks nice. However, I was hoping the teak would be a bit darker of a wood. Oh well, still looks good

Rear swing seems to have better functionality.

Anyone know if these changes will make it to their other cameras?

I wonder if you will be able to purchase the parts to upgrade the 45n1? It looks like the rear swing could be added pretty easily.

My 45n1 is fine, but I would like some rear swing!

    Hugo??? are you out there?

I asked if the 5x7 would be updated and he said not anytime soon.
