Jobo ATL1000 transport safety lock of the lift?

    Hi,

I received my repaired Jobo ATL1000 from the repair service (not reachable until monday),
and unpackaged it today, as I wanted to develop the slides of my September multi-week-journey...

From painful experience with this machine, I did a water-only simulation run...
which was good because the lift is stuck?

That is to say, after the first developer, the drum stops rotation as it should,
but then does not lift the drum and drain it, but the drums stays down
and the machine simply only wait for the duration it would take.

Is there some kind of transport safety lock of the lift?

    Thanks,
    Martin

I am unaware of suck a lock on the ATL1000.

Where do you get it serviced?

It is possible the main protection fuse has popped, check and reset it - it is located directly under the control panel cover (remove 3 screws and lift).

Another possibility is that the lift and or rotation motors are failing.

    Keep us posted.

Re: Jobo ATL1000 transport safety lock of the lift?

    Thanks for your help,

damn! I was afraid that it wouldn't be easy ;-)

I had replaced the pump before if you remember the thread,
which made the machine work better first,
but it still did fail after 4 consecutive E6 runs...

So I had it at service at Mr. Seynsche, who overhauled the whole machine...
AFAIK he was chief of Jobo customer support, and knows those machines very well,
and is highly regarded in Europe... ( http://www.fotolaborservice.de )
but he won't respond until Monday I guess...

He said the motherboard was fried at places, so he replaced it with a 1500 board...
And he replaced the early-generation glass temperature feeler with a steel one...

Now I unpacked the machine and it won't work again
My CPP2 seems soooo much more reliable, but of course it is in excellent condition...
Want to do 6-bath E6 though and that's a bit of a PITA with the CPP2...

Thanks, I will look for the fuse ...
but wouldn't the main protection fuse mean that all the other electronic things won't work?
And also that the rotation motor won't work?

Because all of the machine seems to work correctly, including rotation, only the lift arm raising simply isn't being done...

    Best,
    Martin

Mr. Seynche is the ultimate authority worldwide - about anything Jobo - so i am positive he will have an answer for you, come monday.

The protection fuse, might cut off some but not all functions.

Did the lift arm ever move up or down since you got the machine back?

I would wait until you get an answer from Germany - i am sure its something simple.

    Keep me posted.

Mr. Seynsche says there's no such safety lock,
there must have been some kind of shock during transport ...

    Martin
