    Your favorite female photographer

I have a few that I like very much.Imogen Cunningham, Gertrude Kasebier and Ruth Bernhard are at the top of my list. But the one woman photographer that I have always admired the most is Annie W Brigman. When I first saw her pictures I was blown away. I still am. Soul of the Blasted Pine was the first one I came across on one rainy day a long time ago when I was hanging out at my local library checking out photography books all day. Some day , hopefully soon, I can look at an original print of hers on a wall somewhere. I can only imagine how beautiful it will be.

Tough one. Off the top of my head I'd say Judith Joy Ross, Ellen Von Unwerth, and my dear Julia. There are many I didn't name that I also admire, but favorites lists should be short, I think.

Esther Bubley, Helen Levitz, Vivian Maier . For contemporary work Cindy Sherman, Annie Leibovitz, Laura Noel, Sandy Skoglund, Maggie Taylor - to name but a few. There isn't a short list for me.

I really liked Imogen Cunningham's work.

Another that I liked was Mary Casindas. (Not sure if I have this spelled correctly.)

Lillian Bassman and Julia Margaret Cameron are first on my list. I also like Maggie Taylor's work but have not scene enough to really appreciate her work enough.

I am a fan of Vivian Maier but the book that was published was so poorly produced that I can only imagine how great her prints would look.
