    C41: Bath step order

What is the order of C41 processing in trays? From what I can read, its:

    Presoak
    Dev
    Blix
    Water rinse
    Stabilizer

Do I really put the film in a chemical stabilizer AFTER a water rinse, and then simply hang to dry? I don't need to rinse the stabilizer off? Would like my first neg to come out proper-like. And yes yes yes yes yes yes I'm aware of the temperature regulation issues.

Thats the order I use. So far it has worked well.

I don't know your tray dev technique, but remember color chemicals are toxic. You don't even want them to touch your skin.

Stabilizer is anti-fungal, etc; it's not an image-forming step. Needs to dry onto the film.

Try to get a non-blix kit (separate bleach & fix) because the bleach kills the fix and it will have poor shelf-life once mixed. If using separate bleach/fix, wash the film well after bleach in order to prevent contamination of the fix.
