    Old Film Prices?

I may be posting this question in the wrong area: if so, I apologize for my mistake and ask the moderators to move this to the appropriate section. I need to know what average prices were for the following roll and sheet films during the times indicated in parentheses. If you can quote prices from a reliable source (e.g. an old magazine from the periods specified) please let me know:

    PX135-20 and 36 (1980-1984)
    FX135-20 and 36 (1980-1984)
    TX135-20 and 36 (1980-1984)
    HIE136-20 and 36 (1980-1984)
    AgfaPan 25 and 100 in 4x5 (1984 to ~ 1996)

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't think I've ever seen 20 exposure rolls of 35mm film, but I was born in the 70's

I've never seen a 20 exposure roll either, but that is what they once sold. The counter on Kodak Retina marked that way; probably same on other 1950's cameras.

I didn't have time tonight to dig very far but I did an August 1982 Po;ular Photography. B&H listed these prices in their ad: FX-20, $1.59; -36, $2.25; PX-20, $1.59; -36, $2.19; TX-20, $1.59; -36, $2.19. HIE was only listed in 36 exp, $4.49. If no one else comes up with the missing data I'll see if I can look some more tomorrow.

Thank you very. This is extremely helpful. Regarding infrared film, I meant to write "HIE". HIE135 was available in both 20 and 36-exposure magazines ("Kodak Infrared Films", publication N-17, 1976) ... I just can't remember what I used to pay for them! As an aside, 20-exposure rolls of Kodak infrared film were formerly marketed as "IR135 ("Infrared and Ultraviolet Photography," Kodak Advanced Data Book M-3, 1963). Regarding AgfaPan, I seem to remember paying around $11 or $12 for a 25-sheet box of 4x5 in the mid- to late-80's, but again my memory is not so good on this point and that is why I look to members of this community for assistance.

I have some 4x5 hsi in the freezer from the 80's, no prices on the box though.

When I first started processing my own 35mm film in the '70s I shot 20 exposure rolls and used 20 exposure reels for development. They were the same diameter as the 36 exposure ones so I had fewer loading errors than when I tried to use the 36exp reels.

I have a bulk roll of TX in 35mm, 100', that expired in 1982. The price on the sticker was $17.60. I know it's not exactly what you are looking for, but I thought I'd throw it out there.
