Has anyone been to the Atget show at MOMA? Looks interesting. I would love to hear you impressions. Here are some pictures from the show http://www.economist.com/blogs/prosp...ts-photographs

I have. It was very good. Portraits, street scenes, and some early ruin work. Seeing the Avenue des Gobelins prints was pretty mind blowing
Someone at least has a clue. Thanks for sharing. I have to make do with a book.

I like his corners and broader street scenes, like #5 in the link.

A few more - not the usual images -from the 'Zone et fortifications'.
Make sure to see the 'large' version of each one.

Speechless. Thank you for that link. A true master, in every sense of the word.

If someone took a stack of your negatives and put them on flickr, that would be a crappy presentation of your work, if your work even qualifies as work in the first place. In there are some magnificent photographs. You get a sense of what he was doing. Take all Westons rejects, with the monumental prints, or Adams or anyone elses, and you see a different picture.
