    Wet plate in NY

    Hey all

Pete from California contacted me to shoot some wet plate of him and his wife while he was in NY.

It was yet another awesome shooting experience and an excellent new friendship started here on LFPF. This place harbors some of the nicest collection of people from all over the world. Thanks LFPF!

Here is a video of some of the action.

Pete has all the plates so maybe he will post some in the thread.

    cheers

    Re: Wet plate in NY

I think it was important for the students to realize that out of a very non-fancy setting, i.e. a driveway and two folding chairs, came a very nice memorable portrait of two people. We also LOVED the happy accidents (or not-so-happy-accidents) then finally seeing the woman's face. We talked about the 99-1 ratio of success to failure. I also pointed out that you laughed when you kept seeing the 'mistakes'. I am trying to teach them that you HAVE to laugh off the failures then push through until you get to the success.

Thanks for posting it, it's great.
