You've been there watching? I haven't, so I don't really know. How long do you think it would take you to assemble, pack, and ship your share, say 1500 cameras, while holding down a full time job outside of that?

Thanks, but I'd rather just watch:

Well actually that's 1500 units (provided all the parts were within spec and could be assembled into working cameras). Just last week they took the time to answer a technical question posted in the KS comments section so while sitting at the keyboard why not take another couple of minutes to answer Tim's question? To quote Pete Hogwallop in the movie "O Brother Where art thou?", 'That....don't make no sense'.
Yes, I have been watching. (edit: maybe this isn't what you were actually asking, but I've been following this thread, the Kickstarter comments/updates, and so on, closely.)
As I understand it, there's about 1500 cameras total, so let's say my share is 750 cameras. (We'll ignore the fact that they said they had a "team" doing assembly.) They mentioned that it takes "well under 5 minutes" (Ben's words) to assemble and pack each camera, so let's be generous and say 5 minutes apiece, which is 3750 minutes. That's 62.5 hours. Let's be generous again and assume that I have a lot of other stuff to do on my weekends, so let's say I can devote only 6 hours each weekend to working on this. That's 11 weekends (rounding up), which is about 3 months. They've had assembled cameras since at least August 23rd (the Chicago pick-up party) so let's be generous again and count only since then. That's still 5 months. So even being extremely generous with our estimates, it's still taking almost twice as long as it should!

Justin posted a picture of "the last cameras to be shipped" on his instagram account. Here's the text for those who don't do Instagram:
justinlundquist: Finally!! So happy right now. After years of hard work, long delays, and loads of stress @bensyverson & I packed the last of the outstanding orders for the Travelwide Camera. As of now these are in the mail!
You never got a shipping notice, right?

No. No shipping notice. No acknowledgement of change of address. Nothing at all.
So you should have had yours quite a while ago! I was something like 2256 or so and got mine last week.
Bummer.
I hope they pay attention to all this.
