    X-Rite 329 Densitometer

Does anyone know how to adjust this densitometer? For some reason when I try to take a reading I can not get it to work unless I push down very, very hard. I must be missing something. I have the manual but All it say is how to align things. Any help would be appreciated. I can do a visual on my negatives but I always like to check and have a starting point for my printing.

Sounds like a switch might need some contact cleaner.

Okay, need some more help with this. I changed out the sensor in the oraface sp? that you push down. Can't remember what it is called. It was suggested that I do this by a forum member. Now all I get is a reading of the number 7 and it will not null or anything? I'm thinking it is almost cheaper to find a different one/ Any help would be appreciated.
