    Edward Weston Film.

Interesting film showing Edward Weston at work.

Nice little piece at 20 minutes of him in his darkroom.

Likewise, I had no idea this existed. Fantastic film, even though it was towards the end for him.

Try http://www.amazon.com/THE-PHOTOGRAPH.../dp/B000UWE8UG to buy the DVD. Note the revue in the ad. I have an earlier edition of both the DVD and the VHS. They are well worth the money for Weston fans, although the B&W film photography isn't great. I understand Weston was experimenting with Kodachrome at the time the film was made. This film has been discussed by knowledgeable people on this site before. Searching for enlightenment may be worthwhile.

Nice film, great to see the view camera and an 14in Commercial Ektar in action, as natural as can be.

Who was his attractive assistant (or was she just in for the film)? I was wondering if she did some focusing for him. It seemed almost as he directed the general framing, then she focused and then Weston himself did the final framing.

I love how they shlepped the old card board suitcase around. Non of that plastic backpack crap!

It's amazing that you can shoot with exactly the same gear today!
