Looking for a quality lab and wide-format printing

I'm new to LF and am looking for a quality lab. I guess it could be anywhere in the country since I will be mailing in the film.

Also, I am looking for a fine-art printing center, that will do 44+ wide format printing.

Thank you any feedback is greatly appreciated.

For developing film, I've been happy with Edgar Praus:

Not sure if they print as wide as you want, however.

    Welcome, James!

    Where are you located?
What size film, and will they be B&W, color neg, or color transparency?

As far as printing goes, are you looking for inkjet, or Lightjet/ Chromira?

Your answers will help us guide you.

Hi James, I'm in the process of using a place called Digigraphics:

    http://www.digi-graphics.com/

Fill out the order form and print it out, and send it with your film. You can specify film types other than E-6 slide (negative or B+W).

    Order form: http://www.digi-graphics.com/forms/e...form_page.html

I sent my film during the holidays, and they're just now reopening, so I can't say whether they're turnaround time is fast or not, but I'm in no hurry.

This is funny.. I was searching google for large format photography labs and came across this thread, which is quite helpful and I just so happen to be the original poster! Ha! What are the chances of that?? hahaha.. Since LFP doesn't notify me when replies are posted to my threads (although I recall checking that box), I just through there were no replies and forgot about this thread altogether.

Anyways, thank you all very much! I have been searching and have contacted several labs with dissapointed results.

    Hi, thank you!

I am doing B&W and color negs in 8x10 format. And I think I would prefer lightjet/chromira.

I send all my printing needs to a lab. There is too much expense involved when printing your own.

Try Dodge Chrome in Silver Spring, Maryland. Top quality lab, both silver and digital.

They can do really large prints. http://www.dodgechrome.com

If you believe you can, or you believe you can't... you're right.
