There are only three types of mounting flanges; too big, too small and wrong thread!

There are quite a few, however we seem to be a insular bunch. Apug activity goes up and down in spasms, the colder winter months don't seem to help. Hop on to Welly's forum at http://largeform.at/, but don't neglect here as plenty of good people are OS.

    Re: Australian large format forum

To be honest I don't see the need for a separate forum - I waste enough time on the net as it is. It would be nice to have a place for local LF chatter and "heads up" posts but most serious discussion and questions is better off being here. It might be worth asking the nice people here whether a "regional" category could be added like they have in APUG.

This community worldwide is small enough as it is.

Dividing the participants, thus reducing the activity level on both forums, will just result in all of them shutting down.

    Very bad idea.

I tend to agree with Paul. I am subscribed to the Australia forum at APUG. Less email clutter and log
    -ons to remember.
    Although local classifieds are good.

Tend to agree with above - I stopped looking at the local LF forum because the content didn't update enough and for a little while there was a lot of spam... these days I really only stop here and APUG.

Hi , I tend to agree with leigh , and our community in Aus is smaller again ,New york state has a larger population than the whole of Australia, I joined the Aus forum when it first started but only looked and would not have been considered a contributer . Cheers Gary

I think the Aus forums are great, especially when you're looking to sell or buy... I have just recently had a situation shipping items overseas where the item has gone missing and the buyer wants a full refund, meanwhile I'm out of pocket both the item and the postage costs.. Having local classifieds is a great thing... Also the smaller community allows a bit more of a sense of participation.. I still use these forums every day (not a member on Apug) but I am on LF forums every day..
