Newspace, Portland, OR
I was in Portland a week ago, and stopped by Newspace, which is a community gallery/darkroom promoting photography. Nice facility. Good gallery space on the main floor, with a handicap-accessible wet darkroom also on the same floor. On the upper floor is a full size group darkroom that appears to be well equipped. There are a few lounge areas to hang out in, and a surprisingly well stocked library with photo-related titles.
I searched this site, and found some hits for Newspace, but the most recent is 2009. So I thought I would make another mention. It is a nice resource; apparently they are in a new-to-them location, and to me it works well. If you are travelling in Portland, stop in and check them out.

Re: Newspace, Portland, OR
Yeah, Newspace is great. I'm a big fan. In fact, I've switched over to using their lab area for developing B&W film instead of maintaining my own setup. It's nice to not worry about dealing with temperature control, chemical storage & disposal, and film drying. I generally do MF, but I know they've got some 4x5 daylight tanks, too. They've got a decent digital lab (scanners & printers), too, so you could do a hybrid process without having to invest in all that yourself.
They also have a professional-class studio (with lights) available for rent, and provide a full load of classes & workshops, and occasional lectures.
You don't need to be a member to use their facilities (although it gives you a bit of a discount on scanning, printing, etc., and of course supports them, as they are a nonprofit).
(BTW, their location isn't very new -- they've been there for a few years -- but they recently expanded to about 2x their previous size.)
