    nikkor 600/800/1200

    hi

    I have just bought one of these
    it has a 600 front a copal 3 and then a 800 and a 1200 rear
    is it supposed to have a 600 rear element ?

    The front is common to all 3 focal lengths and should have 3 scales on the Copal 3 shutter. You then get the focal length you want by screwing in the correct rear group. Looks like you're missing the 600 mm focal length...but that (as the other two) can be bought separately. Nikon also makes a 360/500/720 trio where the front group is common to all 3 focal lengths. Possibly the original purchaser didn't want a 600 mm focal length.

    Hi Nikon does not longer produce LF lenses!
