    difficulty posting

    mods,

    i tried posting this ad:

    http://www.largeformatphotography.in...874#post810874

but i got this error message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 72 bytes) in /k1/home/lfgroup/www/forum/includes/functions_search.php on line 197

what gives? i had to create a post that said "testing" in the title and then one sentence. it took that. then i edited itt o say what i really wanted it to say.

i tried google chrome and firefox. same problem with both.

That appears to be a temporary server-level error, probably related to other processes running on the server at the instant the post was attempted.

    Re: difficulty posting

I got this same error several times when I was posting an ad (http://www.largeformatphotography.in...ad.php?t=85269)

Per eddie's resolution, I deleted all but one sentence. That didn't work. Then I deleted all but "FS:" in the title and it worked! Then I added everything back.

I think there is a certain string in the title that is causing the error. It's not a big deal because it obviously isn't common but might be worth looking in to?

    Re: difficulty posting

I checked and it seems like an issue of a transitory nature. Probably you just had the bad luck of posting when system resources were near the limits we've placed, so you got the error.
