Seems like Safari is working fine

11-21-11. At least for the moment.

    Great news for convenience

8:37 pm, I guess not, back to the former state of "no go", back to Opera

I hate the way Safari hammers the hard disk. Mozilla doesn't do it.

There has never been an issue with Safari on the Mac but the site has had big issues with the current iOS version of safari.

Right now it seems to be working ok but who knows if that will last.

I should have been more clear, I'm refering to the mobile iOS on the iPad.

I upgraded to 5.0.1 and it apparently was why it began working, but only for a handful of visits.

I was under the impression "Lion" had the same problem! Am I mistaken? I'm still on Snow Leopard.

Safari and Chrome are based on the WebKit open-source rendering engine. When you first clear your browser cache, the problem goes away, but re-appears soon after.

Too bad Mozilla doesn't offer an iOS version of Firefox.

WebKit browsers have a third of the market share on desktops. They are the default browser on iOS and Android and the new Kindle.

It doesn't make sense to assume that this forum won't need to support it eventually.

Its still a no go for "new posts" on my iPhone.

What part of this forum does and doesn't work with iPad and iPhones?

For me it's bringing up new posts. I have to go to each forum and browse for new threads, that's a pain and is getting old. I'm not blaming anyone, that's the nature if technology on a modern world.

I had even thought of getting a cheap notebook but not.
