    Film grain manipulation...

I've been trying to find a way to "degrainify" film scans in Photoshop. I've tried a few things with little or no success. As much as I prefer to leave the grain, sometimes it seems best to alleviate some.

    Anyone else have any suggestions?

Confession: This is largely for my 35mm and 120 scans.
Yeah. I'm familiar with Photoshop. It's the place I buy my film.

Have you tried Neat Image or Noise Ninja?

    Hi,

unless you have not done so already .. turn off any sharpening at the scanner level .. and in case your scanner does offer .. click on "degrain" or "smoothen" .. you then may sharpen later in PS .. my limited experience ..
