FotoFest 2012 - thoughts?

So I have heard that this is THE PLACE to go and show your work. I am strongly considering it, but nearly choked when I saw the fees associated with attending.

I have several bodies of work that I would like to get a wider audience for and I am wondering if the costs and time involved in attending, not to mention the actual fees associated with attending has paid off in a measurable way for anyone.

Hi Michael,

I visited Fotofest a couple of years ago and it seemed to be a great experience for the photographers I spoke to. What most of them did was sell prints at the reviews (on the days that were open to the public) and these sales paid for their expenses.
