Central Illinois Outing Nov. 19th

The Midwest Large Format asylum will hold its November 19th (always 3rd Saturday of the month) outing in Central Illinois around Decatur, Monticello and Rantoul.

Many of us will travel & shoot on Friday and will spend the night at the Sleep Inn in Decatur. Saturday morning breakfast will be at 8 am at the Red Wheel in Monticello, next to the Monticello Railroad Museum. This is about our 4th or 5th time at the RR museum as it is a great place to shoot. The staff there opens the buildings for us (which are closed to the public), one of which is the shop where they are rebuilding a steam locomotive. Not sure where we will go from there, but Allerton or the old closed Air Force base in Rantoul are also popular spots.

If you have been reading about our outings and thought about joining us sometime, and are close by on the 19th, please consider joining us.

I believe I count 10 people confirmed so far, that will join us this Saturday to shoot in Monticello. Breakfast is at the Red Wheel (in Monticello right next to the railroad museum) at 8 am Saturday. If you have a walkie talkie, we will be on channel 7.
