Yes, the emulation is very soft, even your finger tip can scratch it.
However, I m confident to say that until now I have no problem anymore with scratch in xray with tray.

Anyway, I think the advantage bag was to agitate film evenly.

This weekend I gonna try develop film in total dark without laser to eliminate of laser point problem.

    Cheers,

Polaroid had a 4x5 holder you could slide film in and keep collecting, it was used for washing off site. Something like this could be devised for your xray film and still use the bag.

For regular film I tray process. There was a thread about 9 months ago where someone talked about the use of freezer bags for xray film.

    Any comments?
How long is your total development time? Times below 3-4 minutes can be very troublesome, and can cause your problems. And I second (third?) the pre-wash

I think that time is not a problem with xray since I can see clearly the processing with safe light.

Last weekend, I tried to agitate more carefully and minimum of safe light as much as possible. And the result

It seems to me that a much improvement. Anyway, I still see sth uneven

Actually more careful agitation is not helpful, in the first 15 seconds you should make sure there is constant agitation to get the developer all over the film, slow and deliberate is not a good thing. At least in the first minute, your goal is to make sure you flood the film emulsion with the developer.
