Kodak View Camera, what the different

There's a few different 8x10 Kodak cameras and I can't seem to find out what differs them:

    Kodak 2D

    Kodak View Model B

    Kodak Master View

    What is the difference?

Kodak Master(commonly called the "Master View", or KMV) is a METAL folding field camera.

    like this one:

the Kodak 2D is a WOOD non-folding camera, looks like this:

and the Kodak Model View B 8x10:

    Eb*y listing #(for pictures: 150629144145

its like the 2D, only in metal

I think the one in the auction is a "eastman commercial view camera", rahter than a view b.

I had a chance to try one a couple weeks ago, and it was a very nice lightweight 8x10. Some bidder is very lucky.

Allright!, Did the Model B also come in a wood-model, I've seen one of those on ebay.

The wooden Kodak 2D's fold, but it's not self casing like the KMV.

please excuse me, you're right . I meant "non folding" to mean self-casing(an enclosed box as it were).

    thanks for the correction

Not so sure about the "light weight," I think it weighs 14 pounds. But these are indeed very nice cameras. I owned one briefly but had to return it because it was in terrible condition and had been grossly misrepresented by the seller. I wish I had seen this one before it sold, I'd have been very tempted.

If you're interested in the 2D and its predecessors:

The Eastman Commercial View camera is basically a Model "B" as far as movements. It is made of apparently an aluminum alloy. I have one for which I traded a "B" because it is lighter in weight.
