Adjusting the front and rear standard tracks on a Wisner camera?

I have noticed that on the bottom of the Wisner Flight (4x5) there are 8 screws (4 on each side) which screw right into the front and rear focusing track guides. Do these serve the purpose of adjusting the track guide/standard friction/tension?

No, they don't. Trying to operate the camera with those loosened will damage the camera.
Those screws secure the "main rails" to the bed, they are not meant to be "adjusted".
The "friction/tension" was set at the factory, it is not a user adjustment.
