What is the story with this lens? 28" B&L??? Thoughts???

I saw this on eb*y 320733232901 (already ended - I didn't bid)...it looks like a plain magic lantern early petzval....but the 28" inscribed on each ring has me puzzled? Anyone seen it inscribed in that fashion? Doesn't look normal....nor have I seen one in that length, size wise looks to be a 10" FL or so???

Possibly owner inscribed? or maybe not B&L glass, just B&L outer tube...any thoughts

I have one like it that is 24" focus. It's a treasure. No engravings on mine though. B&L built specialty industrial pieces. No idea what it was for. I've made some keepers with my 24" one.

Jim I've seen your website... YOU make 'keepers' with every lens you touch

I was tempted on that lens, out of sheer curiosity, but don't have anything with 28" of bellows...

Thanks Jim....didn't know they made them in longer focal lengths...
