    Question Does benzotriazole go bad?

I have 2 liters that I bought from Fred Picker. One is full, one partly used.

Should this still be good? I'm planning to use it for some old paper.

    TIA

It's probably still good. Benzotriazole is organic and does not oxidize.

However, as Fred used to say, TRY IT!

    Hi Gem,

That's what I thought but I've been known to be wrong (infrequently).

I shall give it a try. I just wanted some other opinions before doing so.

    Thanks.

My bottle of benzotriazole by Edwal Chemicals is from 1957 according to the date the label was printed. I use it and have no problem.
