    Darlot Cameras

I was looking through my Thomas International Photo Directory of Antique Cameras 1840-1940 for some Clement & Gilmer cameras. And, to my great surprise, it has 2 Darlot cameras listed in 1887. Has anyone ever seen one of these? I've seen a lot of Darlot lenses but never thought of a Darlot camera.

One is a Rapide Changing Box Camera, 8x9cm plates and the other is 9x12 cm plates with a 135mm f8 Darlot RR lens. Each holds and 'rapid fires' 12 plates. Who knew? I'm sure somebody here did...

Yes I worked on one. It belongs to a privet collector.

Any chance of getting a couple of photos from him/her/you?
