Post your lf ra-4 darkroom prints

No color negative or transparency scans or inkjet prints please! Just optical prints that you made in the darkroom using color chemistry such as RA-4 from a color negative you shot with a large format camera 4x5" and above. Here's mine:

Palace of Fine Arts, San Fraancisco

Camera and lens: 4x5" Toyo Robos with 150mm Rodenstock Apo-Sironar S
    Film: Fuji 160-S
Film Developer: Kodak C-41 with Jobo CPA
Paper: Fuji 11x14 Fuji Glossy Crystal Archive
Enlarger and Head: Beseler 45MXT w/Besler 45S color head.
Paper developer: Kodak RA-4 with Jobo CPA

"No color negative or transparency scans or inkjet prints please!"...RA-4 print scans okay. Unfortunately, I only used RA-4 for MF negatives.

Thomas...It has been a long time since I have been to the Palace of Fine Arts! Photographed there while assisting for a Friends of Photography Workshop (~1990). The place is looking good, as does your image!

On an outing with 4x5 I usually bring holders, loaded with B&W and color as some subjects look better in B&W or color. For this image I exposed one sheet of each and you can see the B&W gold-toned print here: https://spiritsofsilver.com/yahoo_si...3958_large.jpg. The color version, in my opinion, is clearly superior and supports the idea of carrying both type with you when on a photo safari.

Most photographers don't go any further than scanning their negative or slides. As Ansel Adams famously said, the negative is the score and the print is the performance. Let's see your performance.
