    Toyo Rotating/Non rotating film backs

    Hi All,
I have a particular application with an adapter using the graflok back on a Toyo View 45AII and need to lose around 3mm of extension. My camera has the rotating back and I wondered if anyone knows whether the fixed back would bring the film plane closer to the lens or not?

    Many thanks
    Paul

I have the Toyo A45II and the Toyo GX45 both with rotating backs.

In both cases the rotation mecanism adds about 7 milimeters (0.3 inch) to the
    film to lens distance.

Thank you Per. Would you say that's 7mm over the non rotating backs?

I think so. The non-rotating back is attached directly to the camera back.
