Adox Pan 25 in 8x10 Source?

After getting some very good results with Adox Pan 25 I was about to pony up and purchase more but see it's not listed on the Freestyle website anymore. The 4x5 stuff is available but not in 8x10.

Is there another source in USA for this film? Would the AT Ortho be a good secondary backup (Rollei)? This is intended for landscape work. Comparing the pan 25 to tmax 100, the pan 25 had an obvious edge of with better contrast allowing objects to pop out at you with a 3D quality to them. The tmax did not have this kick. Not totally dissing Tmax as I love the tmax 400.

Will the pan 25 allow for alternative printing / passes UV ?

Thanks for any help / info.

I have had the same problem tim, I had been using it in 8x10 for about a year, then one day, it was just gone from freestyle's website. I found it listed on a UK website but it was double the cost. I will start experimenting with efke 25 when I run out of Adox Pan 25, but it would be great if we could get it in the US again.

    Why don't you try Fotoimpex?

My apologies, that is what I am looking for, I just couldnt find it looking through the english version of the site.

Unfortunately, at $108 for shipping to the US, it may be prohibitively expensive.

I would try the Efke-25. I shoot it in 8x10, 11x14 and 8x20. The last two sizes are special order. I love it and use it for my carbon transfer printing. Great film.
I just picked up a box from Freestyle today.

What's the minimum order? Is it a defined square inch/foot measurement?

Chris I think it was something like 10-15 boxes. We did a group buy a while back on the 11x14 and 8x20. Not that much film really. Freestyle handled the 11x14 and Michael Kadillak the 8x20. Took some time but all went smooth.

Philippe - Thank you very much for the link to a source of this film. I am checking availability with them.

mcfactor - If I order a couple boxes do you want me to order a couple for you? I'll pick up the shipping as a couple boxes won't add that much more to cost of shipment.

Jim - thanks also for the Efke 25 info. I think I am going to go for the Pan 25. On the DR.5 website he says Adox 25 and Efke 25 are the same and made in the same factory. The adox box says made in Germany whereas the Efke says made in Croatia. Perhaps DR.5 is a bit out of date. One would assume Pan 25 is good in DR.5.

    Best Regards Gents,

    Tim
