Capital SP-1 Spot Meter

I have a Capital SP-1 Spot Meter and the readings are all over the place, not just a matter of zeroing. This is an old analog EV based meter. Does anyone know anybody who could take a look at it? Is it worth it? It's my backup-backup, but I wanted to give it to my brother, assuming I can get some accurate readings out of it.

Compared it to my two Minolta digital spotmeters.
