    Newbie question on editing for hazy effect

    I really like the hazy effect in these pictures.

    I'd guess they make one or two of the color channels less than black. (move the slider away from black in the levels, or shift the start of the line to the right in curves)

    If you're talking about the somewhat diffused, high-contrast effect there are a lot of different ways of doing that in Photoshop. I do that kind of thing occasionally. Here are a couple of mine. If this is the look you're after let me know and I'll explain how it's done. Not that the way I do it is the best or only way, just that it's what I know.
