    I like Joanna's B&W light house too

This is one of the few places on the East Coast you can stand on land and face west for a sunset photo of a lighthouse, across water.

Back when I was working, taking photographs of the North Carolina’s lighthouses was a real joy. Most were taken with my Hasselblad, but I do have a few taken with my 4x5 Zone VI.
This one is the tallest lighthouse in the USA, Hatteras Lighthouse at 208 feet. Hatteras was built in 1802, guards the Graveyard of the Atlantic, has 200,000 visitors per year, PLUS was moved 2900 feet in 1999. I have photographs of the move, but only 35mm.

The Peggy's Cove lighthouse in Nova Scotia is another one where you can face west for a sunset picture. The following pictures were taken with:

Lighthouses are great subject, nice a solid. This one is on the South West coast of Australia at Cape Nelson.

This one goes back a few years, but I don't think I've posted it on the forum.

    Austin,

This one looks really great cropped just below the last white wisp of a wave on the right.
