    Expired Film

How long past the expiration can 4 x 5 film still be of any use?

I am sure there are a lot of variables, but one main one is how the film has been stored.

I've shot stuff recently that expired over 25 years ago. It was frozen though.

It can't be used after it expires, just send it to me and I will dispose of it.

In all seriousness, it depends mostly on speed and storage. It will fog as time progresses. What the expiration date means is "We are pretty sure that this film will be perfect before this date" assuming you keep the film within the storage conditions on the package.
