    "interesting" "Shutter"...;-)

    I have been searching for the thread where a home made "shutter" was made by Jim Galli..

    Just can't find it.. (must learn to search better)...

    However, I have this georgeus old Cooke Series IIa 250mm F 3.5 lens.

    Fitted on a nice old wodden camera..

    But no shutter.

    by chance I then noticed, that the lid of a normal Patterson tank system fits like a glove!!!
    Almost like it was made to do it..

    So now I can make my pictures with this "shutter" ("lens cap") system.

    Works fine.

    Now I have to see, whether this also fits my other Cooke (14.5")

    I use canning jar lids as my 'shutters'...
