I seem to remember an article about Egyptian plywood being used some time before 400 BC. Too much National Geographic!

That figures. I'm often wrong. But still opinionated. What does being right have to do with anything. :~'))

I've studied ancient Egypt in some detail over the last 50-60 years, but I missed that.

What make and model were the cars?

If you believe you can, or you believe you can't... you're right.

    Hi Jim,
I was inquiring as to the make and model of the ancient Egyptian car, c. 100BC.

Well, you got me there! They did have the wheel, but not a Model T.

If I remember correctly, National Geographic had an article about King Tut. One of the pieces of furniture was made up with multiple plies of wood, where the grain was at 90 degree orientation. Just like plywood. The speculation was that they were trying to prevent warping of the flat surfaces. That is all that I can remember. Looks like I was a bit off in the time frame. Should be c. 1341 B.C.E. to c. 1323 B.C.E.

Thanks Jim. I knew it had sat there a long time. Seems all the grills are different. When I was a kid, we had a hardtop that was close to this. A nice blue color. Nice metal dash, too.
