A wonderful exhibition of over 100 prints from the 1920's, primarily in the pictorialist style.
An accompanying book has been published by the University of Washington Press:

I have been there twice. I highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in pictorialist work. The work was produced over a 5 year period, 1924-1929, by members of the Seattle Camera Club. There were a few professional photographers in the group but most were hobbyist and the vast majority were Japanese immigrants.

I also bought the book. The book details the history of the club and several of its members. It includes pictures of many of the prints in the exhibit as well as some not in the show. Much of the work produced by the members was lost or destroyed when the Japanese members were interned after Pearl Harbor.

HERE is an article in today's Seattle Times about the exhibit.
