    Paper comparison

I have been printing on both Ilford Gold Silk and Museo Silver Rag. I recently became aware of Canon Platinum.

Has anyone used this paper (Platinum) and how does it compare to the Silver Rag? The price is much better but I want the absolutely best quality.

    Re: Paper comparison

I picked up a package of this paper (Pro Platinum) today and ran a comparison to my other two papers. In BW printing of the same image I would place the tonal scale as very near Museo Silver Rag.

Pro Platinum is super, super glossy. It definitely doesn't look like an air dried fiber print. More neutral in color than either Gold Silk or Silver Rag, it really is dramatic in presentation.

Adorama is currently running the paper at about 66% discount to suggested list price.
